A late Edwardian barograph in traditional 'station' form by prolific makers, Richard Freres of Paris. The hinged lid opens to show a lovely working lacquered movement with a very unusual glass ink bottle. This particular instrument has the serial number 133472 engraved on the brass baseplate dating it to 1929/1930. This type of movement was highly regarded and used by respected English makers, Negretti & Zambra and Casella. See extract from Richards Freres trade catalogue, 1925, which illustrates this instrument. A quantity of charts and fresh bottle of recording ink included.
