A pre-WW2 barograph in polished light oak signed on the brass baseplate by well known makers, Short & Mason, London, with serial number B16245. I would date this example at around 1935. There is 5- glass lift off lid and there is a deep chart drawer to the base as well as an oak lining below creating a substantial looking appearance. The weekly clock movement is in good working order and the lacquered brass barograph mechanism is in excellent condition. It comes with its original glass ink bottle and brass stopper.
A quantity of weekly recording charts are included together with a fresh bottle of ink and a reprinted pamphlet describing operating instructions and how to interpret chart recordings.
