A lovely 'as new' display barograph. This one manufactured by Russell Scientific of Norwich and known as their flagship model, The Blakeney, was sold through their main distributers, Messrs Rapport of London.  Sadly, one of the last to be made by this well respected company. The case is in unblemished polished hardwood with an imposing five-glass lift-off lid. There is a two-compartment chart drawer at the base. It comes complete with original instructions.
The instrument would make a great celebration present or retirement gift: see picture of my late father being presnted with an identical one in 1985. A small plaque brass is available for fixing to the brass baseplate or inside the chart drawer.
Note also that new barographs are no longer commercialy made in the UK making this instrument particularly collectable.

A quantity of weekly charts together with a fresh bottle of recording ink are included and also a reprinted period pamphlet by Negretti & Zambra Ltd describing operating instructions and how to interpret typical chart recordings.
