One of the last barographs made by Russell Scientific Ltd. of Dereham. The unique style of  British barographs, ie, hardwood case, five glass lift off lid, chart drawer to base etc, are no longer made in this country.  
This example is in excellent condition, unmarked with no fading or ink spill stains and could be considered 'as new'and therefore extremely rare.  The instrument, known as their 'Norfolk' model has a rich mahogany case with bevelled glass all round, a quality clock and mechanical movement - see extract from Russell's trade catalogue, circa 1995.

The instrument would make the perfect presentation gift and can be supplied with a blank brass plaque if required.
A selection of charts will be included together with a fresh bottle of recording ink and a re-printed pamphlet describing operating instructions and interpretation of various chart recordings. An unused brass nameplate can also be included if required.
