This is a post war barograph by Negretti & Zambra, London, set in a red mahogany case with a lift off lid in bevelled glass, a chart drawer to the base, the front of which is finished in the same shape as the other sides of the base. The clock movement is the reliable 1902 patent with the visible escapement. The original glass ink bottle is fitted to a recess on the left of the clock. The base has mahogany bun feet.
Also included is a selection of weekly charts, a fresh bottle of ink and a small re-printed booklet by Negretti & Zambra describing operating instructions with interpretations of various trends in chart recordings.
