A lovely display barograph, this one by Russell Scientific of Norwich and their flagship model -  known as The Blakeney, circa 1990.  Sadly, one of the last to be made by this well respected company. The case is slightly larger than average and in polished oak with glass all round set into an imposing lift off lid. There is a two compartment chart drawer at the base for new andused charts.
The instrument would make a great retirement gift  (my late father chose a similar one) or any other celebration present. A small plaque brass is available for fixing to the brass baseplate or inside the chart drawer. Note also that new barographs are no longer commercialy made in the UK making this instrument particularly collectable. 
 
A quantity of weekly charts together with a fresh bottle of recording ink are included and also a reprinted period pamphlet by Negretti & Zambra Ltd describing operating instructions and how to interpret typical chart recordings.
