This is a classic mahogany 'flagship' barograph manufactured by by J. Hicks of Hatten Garden, London. This style, slightly larger than standard instruments, became popular just prior to WW1. The barograph has an ornate carved case, radiused corners, heavy bevelled glass lid, chart drawer and mounted on brass bun feet. Note the larger than average glass ink bottle and brass holder. 
The mahogany case has been stripped and re-polished making an elegant addition to any room.
