This is a lovely original presentation by the U.S. Department of Agriculture entitled "Cloud Forms", dated March 1924. Consisting of 22 pages, this large manuscript, 9 1/2' wide x 12" tall is sub-titled -"With the International Cloud Definitions together with introductory remarks and height-frequency diagrams" and "Prepared by the Weather Bureau Cloud Committee, March 1924.
There are thirty two 6" x 4"black and white photographs showing various cloud types , many from all parts of the United States - Washington D. C., Mount Wilson, Payne Field, Mount Weather, Bartlesville, Topeka etc and also from Tortosa, Spain and England. Below each picture is the name of the photographer. 245mm wide x 310mm tall,
Also included is an International Cloud Atlas prepared by the International Meteorological Committee and dated 1910. In English, French and German, there are 14 delicately coloured pictures of various types of cloud formations referred to as photochromotypic in the captions. many of these are beautifully atmospheric and would make a superb display.
Hardback with fabric tags on three sides. An exquisite collector's item. There are two pictures per page, each approximately 4" x 53/4". The first 3 pages are missing. Note! some of the pages in this document have never been uncut by the printer. 250mm wide x 330mm tall.
