A stunning unused Instrument.
This is a Mk3 Campbell-Stokes sunshine recorder signed by the manufacturer, Negretti & Zambra Ltd, London. This instrument was made for the British Meteorological Office around 1965 & plated accordingly but not given a reference as it was never released from the Negretti stores in Aylesbury & therefore it has never been used. This particular instrument is for Temperate latitudes with ‘LAT 45’ – 65’ engraved on the top of the bowl (for all UK and similar latitudes). A quantity of seasonal recording cards will be supplied together with extracts from British Met Office instruction manual.
