A lovely display barograph set in a golden oak case. In excellent working condition. The instrument, of typical form, although slightly larger than average display barograph, is signed by Ross, 13/14 Great Castle Street, London W, circa 1930/1935. The lift-off lid has deep bevelled glass on all five sides, the two-compartment drawer has an ornate brass knob and there is a hardwood base below enclosing the drawer- a rarely used feature after the Edwardian era. The sturdy weekly clock movement is engraved with the 1909 patent reference.
A quantity of weekly charts together with a fresh bottle of recording ink are included and also a reprinted period pamphlet by Negretti & Zambra Ltd describing operating instructions and how to interpret typical chart recordings.
