This mid 20th century altimeter was originally supplied to the British Post Office and issued to their surveyors and engineers. This example is in excellent condition and looks to be virtually unused. The red case with a cushion top is unmarked, the altimer has a polished brass case, 22mm deep including a 6mm milled edge. There are two ranges- 0 to 3000 metres and 79cm down to 55cm and the dial confirms it was 'Made in England.'
