This is a most interesting instrument. Designed for domestic or commercial use the thermoeter can be sited in a suitable room location and the sensor, at the end of approximtelt 1.8m capillary, can be sited  outside in the open air.  It would seem that the instrument has never been set up as the coiled capillary has not been rolled out and is secured for shipping. Furthermore, the name Sheila Lawrence appeaars at the top of the 120mm diameter dial. The temperature scales are in centigrade and fahrenheit and would cover most weather eventualities. The substantial mahogany hadwood case creates a lovely working instrument and would grace any location.
