This is a fascinating working desktop barometer from the USSR, circa 1950s. The case is classic dark brown Bakelite with an unusual dial in blue with a red indicator. The two weather predictions refer to 'Precipitation' on the left and on the right the Cyrillic literally translates as 'Sushi' on the right, although I believe this actually means 'Towards Settled and Dry.' The extendable chrome hanger enables to instrument to be located on a flat surface, ie, desk or shelf, or wall hung.
