This is described in Taylor Instruments' 1920 trade catalogue as a Tycos Yacht Barometer. The text says this is 'a flanged-front model for inset mounting. It is a pattern eminently suitable for yachts, motor boats, chart or state rooms and (yes), Bungalows'! Taylor Instruments were American agents for London manufacturers, Short & Mason Ltd. The catalogue notes that the barometer is made in America, however this example clearly states it was 'Made in Gt. Britain' by Short & Mason, London even though it carries the Tycos logo. I can only conclude that this instrument (apart from the later oak hardwood case) was made just prior to 1920 whilst Taylor Instruments were in the process of setting up production.
158mm square overall hardwood case, 115mm overall dimeter dial.
