A good quality marine barometer by Heath & Company, New Eltham, London with their trade name Hezzanith inscribed on the dial. In excellent working condition, this robust instrument has seen some use (some overpaint to the outer base rim and easily removed) although there are only minor scuffs which in no way detract from the overall appearance. The 127mm diameter bezel has thick bevelled glass and the barometer is set into a very sturdy brass case, 177mm diameter overall. There are 4 fixing holes in the outer flange indicating the instrument was designed for commercial use. Probably made late 1930s.
