A barograph in a walnut case by Kelvin, Bottomley and Baird, Glasgow, circa 1925. The interesting points with this instrument are the facts that the barograph mechanism and the clock, including the clock lid, are all in polished aluminium. It also has a hinged lid with a stay to avoid the possibility of straining the hinges on the heavy bevelled glass. There is a two-compartment chart drawer to the base. The fully working instrument is in very good condition. The hardwood case shows some signs of fading commensurate with its age and usage.
A most interesting collectors item.
A selection of weekly charts will be included together with a fresh bottle of recording ink, red or blue, and a re-printed copy of a pamphlet by Negretti and Zambra describing operating instructions and the interpretation of various chart recordings.
