This is a typical communist era desk top weather station from the early1960s. Made in Riga, Latvia, now a fully fledged Republic, the working instrument could almost be described as in Deco style; it has an ivory coloured plastic case with a clear perspex front and chrome metal stand - all in good condition. The barometer measures in millimetres, the hygrometer in % humidity and the thermometer scale in Centigrade.
